Henrietta ISD Parents and Community - There has been some misinformation circulating in the community, so I believe it is important that we share the facts in this matter. Our HHS Counselor is currently under contract with the district and was approved for a new contract at the 2025 March board meeting. Our HHS Principal is currently serving under a two-year contract with the district that was signed last year (2024). His contract was tabled at the March board meeting because of the lack of principal certification that is required for a Chapter 21 Administrator contract. That decision was based solely on the fact that his certification had still not been completed. Had the certification been completed, the Board was prepared to add a new year to his contract. Despite his incomplete certification, our HHS Principal still has another year on his current contract for the 2025-2026 school year. These staff members are not on the April board meeting agenda tonight for any action because our HHS Counselor and HHS Principal both have signed contracts for the 2025-2026 school year. We value transparency and believe it’s important to address rumors with facts.
