Henrietta ISD is excited to announce that Clint Perkins has been named Principal of Henrietta High School for the 2026–2027 school year!
Henrietta High School holds a special place in Mr. Perkins’ heart. He began his administrative career at HHS as assistant principal in 2015, after teaching Biology and U.S. History from 2013–2015. This year marks his 26th year in education and 12th year in administration, with 8 of those years spent serving Henrietta ISD.
Mr. Perkins has a deep appreciation for the traditions, pride, and strong sense of community that make HHS such a special place. He is passionate about making a difference for students and looks forward to continuing the high standards and long-standing traditions that define Henrietta High School.
This year will be especially meaningful as he celebrates alongside his former HJH students — his first class of 8th graders, who are now entering their senior year.
Please join us in giving Mr. Perkins a big Bearcat welcome to HHS!

Since joining Henrietta ISD, Dr. Bynum has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a commitment to academic excellence, and a genuine passion for building relationships with students, staff, and families. Her experience as both an assistant principal and principal, combined with her dedication to student success, has already made a meaningful impact on our district.
We are excited for the future of Henrietta Junior High under Dr. Bynum's leadership and look forward to the positive opportunities ahead.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Bynum on her new role at HJH.

Join us Monday, July 6, at 1:00 PM at the Henrietta ISD Administration Building as we officially welcome our three new Agriculture Science teachers to the Bearcat family!
This is a great opportunity to meet them, introduce yourself, and wish them well before they head to the Texas FFA State Convention. We are excited about the experience, passion, and leadership they will bring to our Ag program and our students.
We hope you'll stop by, say hello, and help us give them a true Bearcat welcome!

Corbin, a Bearcat alum, is returning to Henrietta High School to teach English for the 2026–2027 school year. We are excited to have him back on campus, where he joins his wife, Devian Poteet-Reed.
Welcome home, Corbin!

We are beyond proud to celebrate Jennifer Browning as HISD Educator of the Year! Selected by a district staff vote, this honor reflects the deep respect and admiration she has earned across our schools.
For so many years, she has poured her heart into our students, shaping lives, inspiring minds, and making a difference that will last far beyond the classroom. Her kindness, dedication, and passion have touched countless families in our community, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has given.
As she steps into this well-earned chapter of retirement, we wish her days filled with sunshine, laughter, and the simple joys she loves most—singing, mowing the yard, fishing, and especially making precious memories with her grandchildren.
Thank you, Jennifer, for everything. You will always be a part of HISD!

There has been a significant delay in the development of executive functioning skills overall in children within the last 10 years or so. This has resulted in decreased academic performance and increased behavioral issues in the classroom as well as other areas of the child's life.
Here are just a few fun activities you can do with your child this summer to strengthen those skills. You can also do a simple search for "how to strengthen my child's executive functioning skills" to find all sorts of ideas. When in doubt, encourage them to use their imaginations, let them be "bored" and figure out what to do, let them play outside and get dirty, encourage fort building, bike riding, book reading, etc. Limit screen time drastically (or even eliminate screens this summer!).
Have a great summer! I can't wait to see you all next school year!
Ms. Shannon
