Henrietta Board of Trustees Unanimously
Approves Jaime Clark as HISD Superintendent
Clark’s
appointment was finalized Monday after the state-mandated 21-day waiting period.
Henrietta,
TX, May 15, 2023
- The Henrietta ISD (HISD) Board of Trustees made it official Monday night,
unanimously approving Jaime Clark as the district’s new superintendent, after
naming her Lone Finalist on April 23. The appointment was made after the
state-mandated 21-day waiting period, and her first day as superintendent is
expected to be June 1.
Clark is no stranger to big dreams built on
the solid foundation provided by a close-knit community like Henrietta, growing
up just 30 miles down US-287 in Bowie. It was the draw of that community feel
that attracted Clark and her family to the opportunity in HISD.
“I’ve been fortunate to have experiences in
many different types of organizations,” Clark said. “But the chance to lead a
district as special as Henrietta doesn’t come along every day. I am incredibly
honored the Board selected me for this opportunity, and for my family’s support
in making this move. We are all thrilled to be Bearcats!”
Clark comes to HISD with a strong reputation
for leadership, community engagement, and creating a positive environment for
students and staff alike, all qualities HISD Board President Brad Yurcho said
sold the Board on Clark.
“There is no question Jaime was the perfect
choice to lead our district,” Yurcho said. “She is a relationship builder and a
communicator with a proven track record for success. Her experience speaks for
itself, and I know our community is going to embrace Jaime and her family.”
Clark comes to HISD from Lewisville ISD, where
she currently serves as Chief of Elementary Schools where she is responsible
for providing support and leadership to 21 elementary campuses in the district,
representing over 8,000 students. In addition to her administrative experience,
Clark spent time in the classroom as a high school math teacher and volleyball
coach.
Throughout her professional career, Clark has
led her campuses in implementing innovative programs to develop students into
21st century learners. She has elevated parent engagement numbers by
participating in numerous community outreach programs.
Clark is a two-time graduate of Tarleton State
University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports/Health
Studies along with a mathematics minor while receiving a master’s degree in
education administration. Clark also earned her superintendent certification
from the University of Texas - Tyler in 2019.
Jaime is married to Robby Clark, and together
they have four children; Cagen and Conley, who are in college and Chaden and
Cabrey, who will join Jaime and Robby in Henrietta.
