Scot Clayton serves as assistant superintendent of Henrietta Independent School District.
Mr. Clayton began his career in education in 1983 in Byers, Texas. He spent ten years as a
business teacher in Byers ISD, before working as an assistant principal at Mabank Primary
School and assistant principal at Amanda Rochell Elementary School in Rockwall.
He first came to Henrietta ISD in 1996, serving as principal of Henrietta Elementary School. In
2006, Mr. Clayton moved to central office, where he oversees data systems, program
evaluations, curriculum, and various HISD system responsibilities.
Mr. Clayton grew up in Byers, a small town in North Central Texas. He earned his bachelor’s
degree from Midwestern State University, where he studied business administration and
communication. His masters is in educational administration from Midwestern State
University.
Mr. Clayton and his wife Stefanie have one grown daughter who graduated from Henrietta High
(2012) and Tarleton State University (2016). In his spare time, Mr. Clayton enjoys being out on
his mower, woodwork, reading, and watching high school and college basketball.
