Business Education and Career Preparation Business Tour

Mrs. Anderson’s BECP class recently visited Tiger Mountain Ranch where they were greeted by Mrs. Glidden, a relative of our own Megan Hicks.  During the visit Mrs. Anderson’s class was entertained by Cowboy/Entertainer Kenny Fields followed by a very tasty lunch in which students were allowed to see what the ranch has to offer facility wise.  Following the lunch the student were joined by Native Americans Moses and Anna in which they heard a brief story and joined in the friendship dance and snake dance.  Following the dance lesson they shortly made their way to the top campsite where students Hunter Vowell, Kyle Shelton, Ashley Sisk, Cheyenne Arndt, and others attempted to create a fire from flint and steel where they enjoyed many laughs.  Before their return, the students had been given a tour of the barn and had their pictures take near the arena.

After starting the trip home they stopped at Jack’s BBQ where they enjoyed the amazing food Jack’s had to offer.  Shortly after finishing their meal the students experienced a ride home filled with friends, teachers, and a touch of amateur filming.  They arrived back at the school around 9:00 tired and weary from their long voyage to Oklahoma and all agreed that they had a fun, educating trip.  The class would like to thank Mrs. Glidden for welcoming Henrietta High School and giving a wonderful, exciting presentation.
