**students are encouraged to take courses in biology, chemistry and physics.

For Distinguished Achievement Plan you must also do Advanced Measures.

Advanced Measures.  A student also must achieve any combination of four of the advanced measures approved by the State Board of Education.

(A) The measures must  focus on demonstrated student performance at the college or professional

       level.

(B) Student performance on advanced measures must be assessed through an external review process. Examples:  Concurrent Classes (including Tech Prep programs) with 3.0 or higher, original research project (may not be used for more than 2 of the advanced measures) , AP exams (3 or better on score), PSAT qualifications for National Merit Scholar.
