Welcome to the Henrietta All-Sports Club.
The HASC mission is simple…to support the student athletes at Henrietta High School in all athletic endeavors. In today’s economic climate, it’s not unusual for schools to be challenged from a budgetary stand point. This can (and usually does) have a negative effect on various athletic programs. This is where The Henrietta All-Sports Club (HASC) comes in.
Where there is a shortage of funding for a particular sports program, and at the request of coaches and the athletic director, the HASC may be asked to help out financially. HASC may be asked to purchase anything from track warm-ups to items for the softball field, etc. Support is not relegated to just one sport; but, rather to all Henrietta High School sports and is within the guidelines established by the Texas U.I.L.
Over the course of their four year careers, the student athletes that graduated in May 2012 were given over $149,000 in support from the HASC for various items in all sports.
In addition to sport specific assistance, HASC sponsors the annual All-Sports banquet held each May, the Bearcat run-through at football games, home sporting event concessions, the spirit booth, $500 scholarships for college-bound senior student athletes “Tail-gate” events at special out of town / playoff games, meet the Cats night, etc.
You are invited to attend the meetings and to get involved. Meetings are held in the high school administration building every third Wednesday of the month at 8:01pm. At the meetings the HASC goes over requests for assistance, plan for upcoming events, etc. HASC needs your help – DON’T WAIT until you child is a senior before you get involved. HASC supports the student athletes through their 4 years in high school. Make a difference, be involved.
