2008-2009 Texas Bluebonnet List

The 2007-2008 Texas Bluebonnet winner is Down Girl and Sit: One the Road by Lucy Nolan. 151,107 Texas students in grades 3-6 voted, with first place winning 19,248 votes. Over 40 students at Henrietta Elementary and Junior High voted!
The Texas Library Association has announced the new Bluebonnet list for 2008-2009. These books, recommended for grades 3-6, are selected by the Texas Bluebonnet Award Committee. Students in these grades that read or hear at east 5 of the books on the list are eligible to vote in the state-wide election to determine the award winner.
