DOLLARS in the Details…BECOMING SCHOLARSHIP SAVVY
Weather Causes Event to be Rescheduled
February 01, 2010
The Henrietta High School Counseling Department is having a night meeting to inform students and their parents about the ins and outs of putting a scholarship package together that will cause scholarship committees to take notice. Since some scholarships are for those who are not at the “top” of their class, this meeting is beneficial for everyone. Parents of all grade levels are encouraged to come to receive advice from our experts. We are pleased that Barbara Merkle, Director of Admissions at MSU, will be there to give advice from the college scholarship perspective. Kandace Phillips, a parent of two former Henrietta students, will be there to offer advice on how she and her sons were able to receive thousands of scholarship dollars. Georgetta Stanford, Counselor at Henrietta High School, having sat on many scholarship committees, will also offer specific advice on what underclassmen should be doing at this point in order to be able to be more competitive for scholarships their senior year. It will be a jammed packed night with a lot of good information given. The meeting will be held February 22, 2010, in the high school media center beginning at 6:30.
